CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Lumina movie theater at Chapel Hill's Southern Village will offer select, first-run movies on the lawn during the first two weekends of August. On Sundays, the entertainment alternative is live music.
Southern Village events are family-friendly, and easy on the budget. Shops will be open during all events for the purchase of refreshments.
The schedule follows:
- Aug. 1 and 2: Kung Fu Panda, $3, dusk
- Aug. 3: Jazz vocalist Susan Reeves
- Aug. 8 and 9: Get Smart, $3, dusk
- Aug. 10: Chris Boerner Jazz Quartet and Indie/folk rock duo Matt Douglas
- Aug. 17: The Old Ceremony ($5)
- Aug. 24: Grateful Dead tribute band B.O.D.
- Aug. 31: The Ramblers ($5)
