Professional graphic designers charge an amount of money for projects that many clients don't want to pay, so they then look for non-professionals who view design as a mere hobby and who know how to use graphics software, but have no design training. The end result is poor.

I am not feeling the home page either (which is based on the logo, so obviously not). But some of the supporting pages look much better. They should have reconsidered. Surely they hired a professional, but if I were that agency, I wouldn't admit it!

The Logo reminds me of the look-alike strip malls that litter Wake County.

I'm on the same page as rogerkneebend -- does it mean something? Representative of something? What's the connection other than a star (ok, the capitol) and a group of squares? Oh wait, group of squares, I get it...

Well, teh logo may not be much, but it kills the old one, which looked like something from a high school marketing class in 1982.

Hope it's shown in Italy and Russia to remind them of Easley's trip over there to promote tourism. If I were them, I'd look at the logo plan my trip elsewhere - nothing enticing in it, so the city must be just as bland.

Yeah, the logo doesn't look like it was done by a professional. I don't see how the logo connects with Raleigh.
