Duke football team to visit homeless children
The team at 1 p.m. will visit the Durham Rescue Mission’s home for homeless mothers and children at the Good Samaritan Inn, located at 507 East Knox Street in Durham.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — The Duke University football team and head coach David Cutcliffe will serve lunch and spend time with homeless mothers and their children on Sunday.
The team at 1 p.m. will visit the Durham Rescue Mission’s home for homeless mothers and children at the Good Samaritan Inn, located at 507 East Knox Street in Durham.
The football team will serve lunch and then toss some footballs with the children. Players will also read to children and sign autographs.
The Durham Rescue Mission provides long-term shelter, counseling and vocational training to an average of 165 men, women, and children.
