Posted June 16, 2008

— Campers at Prairie Ridge Ecostation for Wildlife and Learning in Raleigh assisted in the release of a red-tailed hawk into the wild Monday.

The injured hawk was brought to the Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville in January. After months of recuperation and rehabilitation, the bird made its return to the skies of western Raleigh.
