Wake Tech goes 'green,' gets award

Raleigh, N.C. — Wake Technical Community College has received the 2008 Innovation of the Year Award for going “green.”

The buildings on Wake Tech's northern campus were all designed to extremely strict environmental standards.

Since the campus opened, the school has saved $100,000 by cutting water and energy use.

Ok........and they did this how? "extremely strict environmental standards" doesn't tell us how they restricted this. Please provide more detail!

The rest of us may want to attempt some of their methods since gas is going up by the minute and so is the temperature outside.
