Volunteers turn out to clean the Neuse

RALEIGH, N.C. — Dozens of volunteers made cleaning up sites along the Neuse River their Saturday chore. It was the 10th year for the Neuse Riverkeeper Foundation's annual cleanup.

People picked up trash and debris along the Neuse River from Falls Dam in North Raleigh through Johnston County.

Last year's haul took in more than 250 bags of trash, weighing more than 8,000 pounds.
