The John Avery Boys & Girls Club of Durham received a $60,000 grant on Monday to support the nonprofit's gang prevention program.

DURHAM, N.C. — The John Avery Boys & Girls Club of Durham received a $60,000 grant on Monday to support the nonprofit's gang prevention program.

The grant was awarded by DPR Construction, one of the nation’s leading general contractors with a strong presence in the Triangle.

“We strive to expand our mission, make a difference and leave a positive footprint on our great community,” John Avery Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Sheila Ryba said in a press release. “The support of organizations like DPR Construction is crucial to our success in shaping a healthy, safe community and impacts the lives of at-risk youth.”
