Wake Tech instructor gets White House nod

— Rich Cregar, an instructor in sustainable transportation technologies at Wake Technical Community College, is among 15 people and businesses being recognized this week by President Barack Obama as "Champions of Change."

The president honors a different group each week for what they do to create new jobs.

Cregar has taught and written about biodiesel, clean diesel technology, vehicle emissions systems and hybrid and electric vehicles.
