Princeton leader is Johnston County principal of the year

Kirk Denning, principal of Princeton High, was named Johnston County 2012 Wells Fargo Principal of the Year Wednesday. Denning has been principal at Princeton High since August 1999.

Jason Smith, assistant principal at Smithfield Selma High School, was named assistant principal of the year.

Both men learned of the honors at a meeting of the Johnston County Principals/Assistant Principals Association.

    Congratulations to Mr. Denning!!! He was my teacher at Meadow School in 1987 & 1988!!!
