The contest allowed local students to decorate animal sculptures. Javier, a chicken decorated by Fuquay-Varina High School, won second place, and Ms. Moo, a cow decorated by Jesse O. Sanderson High School in Raleigh, won third place.
Wakefield High, Garner Magnet and the N.C. School of Math and Science earned honorable mention for their entries.
