One person hurt in fire at Siler City apartment complex, firefighters say

A person was hurt in an apartment complex fire Saturday in Chatham County.

According to the Siler City Fire Department, firefighters around 1 p.m. went to North Glen Apartments on 11th Street. When they arrived, they saw an intense fire coming from a first-floor apartment.

One person escaped into the front yard and was treated for burns by EMS at the scene. While at the apartment complex, firefighters rescued a second victim.

Firefighters said they managed to keep the fire to the two apartments and the roof, and no one else was injured.
