A family of five was displaced Tuesday night after a fire destroyed their home in Harnett County.

At 7:52 p.m., the Angier-Black River Fire Department received a call about the fire on Landmark Drive. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy flames coming out the home.

Multiple departments, including Coats, Summerville-Bunnlevel, West Johnston, and Fuquay-Varina Fire Departments, assisted in containing the fire.

The Red Cross is providing support to the family of five. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
