Goldsboro police have identified a man who died in a Friday night crash.
Police say a car hit a tree in the roundabout at the intersection of E. Ash Street and N. Center Street just before 11 p.m.

When Wayne County EMS and Goldsboro firefighters arrived on scene, they declared the driver, Jyamier Simmons, 29, of Sims, dead.
Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
No other drivers or passengers were involved.
