A large home was lost to fire Monday afternoon in Wake County, on Cyprine Court.
According to a spokesperson for the town of Garner, firefighters were called to the house around 1:48 p.m. When they arrived, firefighters found heavy fire in the attic and the back of the house.

Fire trucks and other emergency vehicles from Garner, Raleigh and Fuquay-Varina lined the road while neighbors gathered in the street to watch firefighters battle the blaze from the ground.
A crane stretched from the firetruck into the air over the two-story residence, with water blasting onto the roof. Another hose was pointed at a neighboring home, in an attempt to keep the fire from spreading.
"From that one little back porch area to the whole house being engulfed was just a matter of 10 minutes," said Dee Eubanks, who lives in the neighborhood.
The large, brick home sits in a cul-de-sac has a tax assessed value of almost $800,000, according to Wake County records.
The home's roof was gone. Flames had burst through the roof and were visible inside the windows.
Smoke could be seen as far away as Cary.
According to the American Red Cross, a family of three was displaced by the fire and volunteers are assisting them
"We don't dictate how they recover, we are more concerned if they have what they need, so whatever they choose to do, they have the ability to do that for the next 72 hours," said Donnell Nichols with the American Red Cross.
It is unclear what caused the fire, but Eubanks said wind gusts may have contributed to how quickly the fire spread.
"The wind was gusting pretty good earlier, and the flames at its highest point was probably 40 feet, So it was pretty wild," Eubanks said.
A spokesperson for the town of Garner said in a release that the Wake County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause.
