A man is safe Wednesday morning after a fiery vehicle fire in Cumberland County.
The State Highway Patrol said a trooper on duty was traveling near Hayfield Road when he noticed a Ford F-350 truck completely engulfed in flames shortly after midnight.

Fire crews immediately responded to the scene.
The WRAL Breaking News tracker was there as the truck appeared to cause small explosions.
Fortunately, the driver was able to safely exit the vehicle without injury.
He told WRAL the vehicle was recently picked up from a mechanic's shop for repairs.
The man described hearing a popping noise and pulling over just before the fire broke out.
The truck was deemed a total loss, according to the trooper.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
