All lanes of Interstate 85 south in Durham near Exit 182 were closed due to a crash early Saturday morning. The crash is near the exit toward Red Mill Road.
The lanes closed around 5:30 a.m. As of 2:55 p.m., all lanes have reopened and travel conditions returned to normal, according to the traffic alert.

According to a trooper with the State Highway Patrol, the driver of an 18-wheeler noticed smoke coming from the cab area. He pulled over to the side of the road, and the cab quickly began to be engulfed by flames.
The trooper estimated that the cab was burning for about 10 to 15 minutes before the fire was fully pull out. The tractor-trailer was reportedly carrying bananas.
The trooper did not say if there were any injuries from this fire or how this fire happened.
A traffic camera showed smoke coming from around the scene of the crash. The WRAL Breaking News Tracker saw a tractor-trailer severely burned to the point where the cargo container bent inward.
