With funding received from Duke Energy Carolinas, Carrboro invited a school program to help the town be greener.
Students and Solar Tech South professionals built solar panels at the Town Commons at 301 West Main St. from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday.
The initiative was part of a partnership between Carrboro and Communities in Schools of Orange County’s (CISOC) “Green Awakening (TGA) Math and Science” summer camp.
