I Need To Hear From You

We are fortunate to have a lot of great teachers in our state.  Our current teacher of the week is truly great.  Cindi Rigsbee of Gravelly Hill Middle School in Orange County is the North Carolina Teacher Of The Year and one of four finalists for National Teacher Of The Year.  President Obama could give her the big honor in the spring.  Let's keep our fingers crossed!  There are so many teachers who deserve recognition but we can't do stories on them all.  Please use this outlet to shout out great teachers you know.  Use the comment section below.

I would like to add Mrs. Fannin at Perry Harrison to the list of great teachers in the area. She teaches 5th grade and does a wonderful job connecting with all of the learning styles in her classroom. I also want to add Mrs. Green at Woods Charter School, formerly with Perry Harrison. What a loss for our school and a gain for Woods. Mrs. Green and Mrs. Fannin are the teachers you remember for the rest of your life - the ones who make a difference.

This goes out to ALL the wonderful teachers at Moncure Elementary School. What a wonderful small school in Chatham County, full of wonderful teachers. They all really show they care! Wouldn't want my kids attending any other school!

Ms. Henry, she used to work at Smithfield-Selma HS in Johnston County, but now she works for Panther Creek HS in Cary. She was my homebound teacher from 10th-12th grade, and she really helped me with a lot of my school work and helping me graduate! Thank you so so much =D
