Corey T. Waters, a history teacher at Chapel Hill High School, will be the keynote speaker Friday when the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) gathers for an annual tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.
The NCAE will announce the 11 winners of its annual Minority Arts Contest and the Excellence in Equity Award during event.
The dinner and awards presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. at 700 S. Salisbury St. in Raleigh. It is open to the public. For tickets, call Derevana Leach at 919-832-3000, ext. 205.
