The Low Income Energy Assistance Program is a Federally-funded program that provides for a one-time cash payment to help eligible families pay their heating bills.
Donations will go towards assisting families to obtain fuel oil, propane gas, natural gas, electricity, coal, or wood and are handled through the Salvation Army.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a program created by the Town of Apex to help Apex Utility customers who cannot afford to pay their utility bill. Town of Apex residents and utility customers can contribute money to the fund, which is then distributed to those in need through a non-profit organization. All money collected will be distributed only to Apex Utilities customers.
