Complete coverage of Billy Graham

Evangelist Billy Graham, who spread the Christian gospel to millions of people worldwide and counseled U.S. presidents for decades, died Feb. 21, 2018, at his home in the North Carolina mountain town of Montreat. He was 99.

An invitation-only funeral was held March 2, 2018, in a tent in the parking lot of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, harking back to Graham's early tent revivals and crusades. President Donald Trump and other former U.S. presidents were among the 2,300 people who were invited to attend the ceremony.

Graham was buried in a private service for the family on the grounds of the library, next to his late wife, Ruth Bell Graham.
