Wake's teacher of the year is from Sanderson High
Stephanie Rhodes, a social studies teacher at Sanderson High School, was named 2011 Teacher of the Year for Wake County Thursday night.

Stephanie Rhodes teaches Civics and Economics and Honors Sociology. She is the student council advisor and varsity volleyball coach.
“She is the teacher sharing ideas, activities, web sites and insights at each meeting,” said Meredith Carle, chairman of the Sanderson Social Studies Department.
Rhodes comes from a family of teachers. She recalled accompanying her mother, a fifth-grade teacher, to work.
She has been at Sanderson for her entire 10-year teaching career.
