Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Tom Joyner will deliver the commencement address for North Carolina Central University graduates on May 15, university officials announced Wednesday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Tom Joyner will deliver the commencement address for North Carolina Central University graduates on May 15, university officials announced Wednesday.

The ceremony will be held at 8 a.m. at O’Kelly-Riddick Stadium on the university’s campus.

Nearly 800 students are expected to receive undergraduate and graduate degrees at the ceremony.

Joyner hosts “The Tom Joyner Morning Show,” a syndicated radio show that airs in more than 115 markets nationwide and reaches 8 million listeners.

NCCU ranks among the top 10 historically black colleges and universities in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report.
