You are right, teacher's husband. You hit it on the nail. The kids are out of school at the drop of a hat now, every other week I'm having to go pick up kids half day or for some work day or whatever is going on - there's no reason for all these make-up days. Keep the kids in school when they are supposed to be and we wouldn't have to have make-up days. Teachers are over-worked and underpaid, that's no fiction. Give them a break, too! They certainly can't control the weather.

As the husband of a teacher for the Wake County PSS, I would like to take a moment to express how ridiculous and upsetting it is to see what one of the make up days are for the teachers and students. Face it, snow is out of our control. It happens, it is not the fault of the teachers or students. I have no issue with 2 of the make up days being on teacher work days, but how in the world can you have the other day be the Monday of the weeklong spring vacation the teachers and students have? What are you THINKING? Our dear teachers are underpaid and overworked as it is, they finally have a week off to spend with their families, and they have to go in on MONDAY of their week vacation. Before making rash decisions like this that have no effect on you while you sit in your mansions drinking coffee, consider our teachers who now have to go in on Monday. I had surprised my wife with a trip that week to see family as had many others. Airline tickets are bought. You are HEARTLESS.

There are three choices: Saturday make up days, Spring break, or at the end of the year. Very simple.

My twin's birthday party is ruined. Thanks Saturday make up day!!
