DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Board of Education voted Thursday night to adopt a resolution opposing a proposed charter school.

Research Triangle High School is scheduled to open in the fall.

In the resolution, the board noted that Durham already had two existing charter high schools, and that such schools draw funding away from the state's "already underfunded traditional public schools."
