Osama Bin Laden has been killed. But now questions are being asked as to his exact whereabouts when he was slain by US Special Forces. With news quickly circulating the world regarding the killing of Al-Qaeda head Osama Bin Laden, speculation is mounting as to his whereabouts during the attack.

Special Forces raided a complex that housed the terrorist leader in Abbottabad, 100km outside of Islamabad in Pakistan where intelligence sources had managed to trace through monitoring a trusted courier of Bin Laden.

According to sources a “firefight” had ensued as a small hand picked team of US Navy Seals engaged the leader and his guards.

But questions were raised as to the whereabouts of Bin Laden within the complex when he was slain.

One source leaked reports that Bin Laden was in actual fact in the toilet at the time of the attack when Special Forces burst in and hit him with a barrage of bullets. At the time he was supposedly resisting and a single bullet to the head killed him whilst seated on the toilet.

However such a report remains unconfirmed as a number of questions as to his exact location during the gunfight.

Another source claims he was watching Arsenal play Manchester United when he was gunned down. It has been claimed that Osama Bin Laden was a keen Arsenal football fan. According to another source he was “upset” the raid took place whilst he was watching the football match and thereby resisted the attack before being shot in the head.

All pure speculation as the world guesses at the exact whereabouts of the terrorist leader during the operation.

“The exact whereabouts at the time of Bin Laden being killed will probably remain a mystery for a long time”, claims one official. “The US Military and Intelligence Agencies do not make such facts public. The fact is we got him.”

According to sources Bin Laden’s body was quickly removed from the complex after the 40 minute operation that saw several other people killed with reports that Bin Laden’s son was amongst the victims. One female was killed who was allegedly used as a human shield during the firefight.

Bin Laden’s body was removed and his exact identity confirmed by the US before he was buried at sea to conform to Islamic practice of burial within 24 hours of dying. This is to prevent any grave becoming a shrine.

Navy Seal helicopters flew the elite team to conduct the operation. One helicopter was said to fail due to technical issues and the elite team quickly destroyed the helicopter before commencing on in another.

Sources claim that the helicopter was under heavy fire whilst approaching the complex in which Bin Laden was hiding.

The irony of the complex that housed Bin Laden was that it was only a couple of hundred meters away from Pakistan’s Military Academy.

Osama Bin Laden has been on the US Government’s “most wanted” list since the 9/11 attacks back in 2001. He was also known to be behind other terrorist attacks worldwide.

US President Obama claims the killing of Bin Laden was “the most significant achievement to date” in the US war on terrorism, particularly al-Qaeda.

The news has put many US and Western Embassies on high alert from revenge attacks. Large crowds gathered on the White House lawn and in New York chanting “USA, USA” after news emerged regarding the killing of Bin Laden.

The complex that housed Bin Laden has shocked US officials. The high walls and size of the complex hinted the value of the complex to be several million dollars in value. However no internet or telephone connections were present – obvious sources that could be traced.

With the confirmation of Bin Laden’s death world leaders have praised the efforts of US Intelligence Officials and the US Navy Seal team that undertook the operation.

Now the world waits to see what reprisals may follow from the news of Bin Laden’s death.
