MIL: Oh, they are usuall up by now (NOT in this lifetime)
Me: ummmmhmmm
MIL: you mind of I steal a drink?
Me: no, help yourself (as I start typing)
MIL: How are you feeling?
Me: the same (as I continue typing)
MIL: your face is still swollen, does it still hurt
Me: yes (isn't that the same as"feeling the same")
MIL: Heard from the doctor yet
Me: not yet (furiously typing)
MIL: Did you sleep on a heating pad last night?
Me: yes
MIL: did it help
Me: not a bit
MIL: heard from Michael lately
Me: not since the letter yesterday
MIL: when do you think you'll hear from him again
Me: no idea (moving books around, pulling out instrction sheet)
MIL: do you have a red pen I can use
Me: sure (I go get the pen)
MIL: Thank you SO Much, you don't know what a big help this is
Me: typing and typing
MIL: what are you doing now?
ME: Homework
MIL: Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you had finished by now
ME: nope
MIL: will you do me a favor?
Me: sure
MIL, I have a doctor's appointment at 1 and I'm going to miss my show,
ME: Sure, I'll tape it for you
MIL: thank you so much (then she proceeds to tell me the ENTIRE story line of the Bold and the Beauitful
Me: ummmhummm
MIL: well, since you're busy, I guess I'll go
ME: Ok, see you later
MIL exits at 12:15
