Well, at least two kids out of that Hare family have gone bad - one for premeditated murder, the other for robbery. One of the comments on the despicable murder story was from a parent whose daughter had some entanglement with him:
"I talked to Ryan's dad about his bizarre behavior at my house several months before the murder and detailed his relationship with my daughter. I told him if he came onto our property again I was calling 911. He seemed unfazed and neutral. I wonder how he feels now? As the mother of a former girlfriend of Ryan's I can only say that from the time my daughter began seeing Ryan, he stole her from me. 3 years later, she is gone. The daughter I raised and knew is gone - I hope not forever, but she has been on a path of self-destruction ever since. I would like to tell Ryan and his parents this face to face. This guy is evil incarnate. I know him, I have looked into his eyes. He has no soul. He is a very disturbed, dangerous young man. I hope he goes to prison for a very long time so he can't hurt anyone else. Even seeing him going to prison is not comforting - he can't give back what he took from us or Matt's family. ~linda12"
I wonder if this father is reconsidering his parenting style now?
