should some be held to a higher standard?

No one is perfect, I think most would agree with that.  But should some people be expected to live their life just a little better than most?  And if so, who should be held to those higher standards?

Most of us are ordinary people and do our best to live our lives the best way we know how.  We are not perfect but we are not awful either.  Most of us.

Then there are the ones that some would consider just a little worse than "most of us ordinary people".  Those would be the ones that don't see anything wrong with lying on a daily basis, not honoring their marriage vows,  cheating at anything they can cheat on, etc.

Then there are the ones most would consider bad.  Murderers, rapists, etc.

But what about those are priests, preachers, the president of the United States, the governor of your state, etc.  Should they walk just a little bit thinner line than "regular folks"?

How about police officers, fire fighters, school teachers?

What about representatives of companies, organizations, non profit groups?

What about any of us that set an example for others?

When you get right down to it, we all set an example for someone.  Not to bring up religion because that is not the point to this blog at all but I think my pastor puts it very well "sometimes your life is all the Jesus someone will ever see".   You can use that statement in many ways.  It basically means that people are always watching us.  The things we do and the things we say.  We are always an example to someone, whether we realize it or not

What sort of example are you?
