My almost 18 year old son got a speeding ticket today. 84 in a 65 is what the trooper wrote. She also told him she knew he was driving with traffic, but he swerved to avoid a car that was pulling over into his lane, so she said she pulled him for reckless driving. (Uhhhh, she saw the car pull into his lane and still pulled him?) She gave him a speeding ticket instead. ( I guess that was the lesser of two evils.) He was just coming home to see his mama. He's sick. Now what? The ticket says he has to appear in court. No fine to pay and move on with his life. This ticket was in Raleigh. I 40. Near the Lake Wheeler Road exit. My husband was all bent out of shape. I'm kinda like, Dang! It isn't armed robbery. He didn't cause a wreck. I've never had a ticket. Don't speed. My husband however, used to be the king of tickets when he was a teenager. Help!
