Disability rights group sues Wake school board

Posted Updated

I am amazed at the countless negative opinions, indifferent attitudes and complete ignorance of so many of these posts. After reading several of THE ADMIRAL'S  comments I realize just how true it is what is said about opinions & aholes. Our tax dollars are wastefully spent everyday. It is never wasteful to spend tax dollars on educating children no matter what their limitations. I don't think any child should ever hinder another child from getting an education, but it happens everyday in all classes. These hindrances are not limited to the exceptional classes. Regular ed kids hinder each other by passing notes, talking and by fighting in classes. I don't have any knowledge of the incident in Wake County but if there were bruises from handcuffs or by any other form of restraint by school personnel would the Dept. of Social Services view it the same if the parents were the ones leaving the bruises. And Teddybear199 I can't understand how you can say if your autistic child acted out violently towards you ,you would knock him to the floor. Judging from that statement and several more that you made you have a lot to learn and I hope your child is not the one to pay for your ignorance. We all need to learn acceptance and understanding of others. We could all have special needs at some point in our lives as a result of an attack, stroke or an accident.
