So I was just eating lunch with my co-workers which is always a joy (sarcasm) and I'm sitting at the table with two white ladies and one black lady. The black lady wants to get into a discussion about politics and is asking everyone who we are voting for. Everyone declined to comment as we all knew the direction that this discussion was heading. Well then she proceeds to tell us that because she is black it is her "duty" to vote for Obama... wow never saw that coming (more sarcasm) and that she voted early and did precisely that. She then went on to explain that it is about time America had a black man in office so that maybe some injustices won't happen to the black people.
Here are some personal examples she cited: Her son, who attends Chapel Hill, was pulled over in a "predominately white, uperclass neighborhood" because he was parked on the side of the road sleeping in his vehicle. The officer ultimately gave him a DUI because he was drunk. She said "yeah he had been drinking, but he did pull over on the side of the road so he wouldn't drive drunk." THEN she tells us the story of how she had just purchased a brand new convertible and was driving with the top down when she was pulled over "just because whe was black and the cop thought she stole the car." She was given a speeding ticket which she denies.
Anyhow, I listened to this garbage for the better part of a half and hour and then got up and left before I said something to her that would get me fired. Yes, this is the same chick I've mentioned before that was on the verge of getting fired so she prominetly displayed her NAACP plaque.
So if Obama does end up elected, will she really see the changes she's expecting? Will the role of the perpetual victim have to be filled by another race of people? I'm so tired of this. Will there be rioting and looting in the streets if Obama doesn't win? Is this mentality why most black people will vote for Obama or does the majority actually believe in his political views?
