Guess what? We’re hiring moderators, two to be exact…and if you’re interested, it could be YOU.
The goal, as you’ve heard me say many times before, is to promote civil discourse, and encourage productive community conversations.
The two moderators would report to me and would be responsible for enforcing standards in our GOLO community. But enough of that, the full description is below:
This is a part-time position, approximately 25 hours per week. Person needed to be responsible for enforcing community standards in our online community, GOLO. The successful candidate should be a clear and organized communicator with a good sense of decorum and brand appropriateness to review user comments with the intent of encouraging civil discourse, and apply judgment based on our community guidelines. Must be decisive and monitor community participation in real-time. The moderator is expected to understand the content the community is discussing and must be able to demonstrate objectivity and diplomacy to foster participation. Excellent communication skills, including strong writing and editing skills, and a strong sense of product ownership and news judgment are necessary. A college degree and pre-employment drug screening are required. EOE M/F. All Capitol Broadcasting Company properties are tobacco free.
