New York to hold exams for forest ranger aspirants

ALBANY, N.Y. — People who want to join the ranks of New York forest rangers or environmental conservation officers will soon get a chance to apply.
The state has scheduled civil service exams for the positions on Nov. 19. There are separate exams and different qualifications for rangers and conservation officers. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 5.

Exam scores are used to create lists to fill openings that may become available.
