New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:

SavingStar.com allows you to register your store reward cards and then load digital coupons to your store reward card. What is unique about this program is that the coupon discount does not come off at the register. The savings are added to your SavingStar account and when it reaches $5, you can cash the savings in for a gift card. You can choose to receive an Amazon gift card, have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to AmericanForests.org.

When you sign up for the program, you will enter the reward card numbers for the reward cards you wish to register. Then, they will automatically link the eCoupons you select to all of your cards. Participating stores in our area include CVS, Rite Aid, Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion and Kroger. They also have iPhone and Android apps available.

According to their website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double. Although it does not say on the site, you should be able to use paper coupons with no issue in addition to these SavingStar.com coupons.

I'm not sure what I was doing wrong yesterday (I was logged in, and all), but the link Faye provided worked today. Thanks!

I don't know if this will work, but below is the link for the 20% off up to $10.00 of bananas that I got if anyone would be interested in that offer:

I am guessing you may need to be logged in to get this offer. Were you logged in to SavingStar when you tried the direct link, DianeNC?

  • radiobrain Jan 3, 2014

The link also worked for me- thanks, Faye!

Interesting... The direct link worked for me - thanks Faye!

DianeNC, does your browser show the direct link Faye posted as ending in /758? Sometimes links are truncated for me when viewed in different browsers.

On the top of my SavingStar page, it's a "Healthy Offer for the Week" for 20% off bananas (up to $10.00). What's weird is that although it's showing up today, Friday, it says "Check back every Tuesday for a new offer!"

(When I tried the link you provided for the Friday offer, it said it was a Dead End, and got the following message, "The link you clicked on is malformed. Contact the editor of the originating page.")

    Thanks, anyway, though!

If that link doesn't work, they may be out. The page does indicate Limited Quantities.

Apparently there will be a new offer each Friday.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jan 3, 2014

Hmmm - the freebie offer shows up at the very top of the page and indicates Friday Freebie.

Try this direct link to the promo: http://SavingStar.ojrq.net/c/47375/114301/758

Same here. Maybe they are now offering different things to different folks?

  • radiobrain Jan 3, 2014

I have all those new offers EXCEPT the free skinny cow. Why is that do you think?
