New SavingStar offers for bananas and many more!

Posted July 1, 2014

There is a new SavingStar.com healthy product discount offered this week for 20% off bananas!  There are also a number of new cash back offers including Cheerios, Yoplait yogurt, Pillsbury Melts cookies, Betty Crocker frosting, Food Should Taste Good products, Hamburger Helper, Cascadian Farm, Fiber One and more!

This week you can save 20% off any single purchase of bananas at participating retailers!  Valid on purchases up to $10 (maximum $2 reward). Offer valid until 7/7/14. This offer is not eligible on produce weighed and tagged using a produce scale prior to checkout.

Head to SavingStar.com to load this offer to your account and check out all the other new offers.  Remember, the discount does not come off at the register. Read the details below about how this cash back program works.

New to SavingStar? Here is how it works:

SavingStar.com is a free cash back program that allows you to register your store reward cards and then load digital coupons to your store reward card. What is unique about this program is that the coupon discount does not come off at the register. The savings are added to your SavingStar account and when it reaches $5, you can cash the savings in for a gift card. You can choose to receive an Amazon gift card, have the money deposited into your Paypal account or checking account or donate it to AmericanForests.org.

When you sign up for the program, you will enter the reward card numbers for the reward cards you wish to register. Then, they will automatically link the eCoupons you select to all of your cards. Participating stores in our area include CVS, Rite Aid, Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion and Kroger. They will be adding a number of new stores by mid-July 2014 including Walgreens, Walmart, Target and more. They also have iPhone and Android apps available.

According to their website, new coupons will become available at the first of every month. Savings will usually show up in your account between 2 days and 2 weeks depending on how long it takes the stores to give SavingStar the information. These coupons will not double. Although it does not say on the site, you should be able to use paper coupons with no issue in addition to these SavingStar.com coupons.

You can sign up for the program and see more information at SavingStar.com.

Yes, some of my offers didn't activate the first time I clicked the Activate button, but they did each activate the second time clicked.

Thanks for the scoop on the new stores!

I found some info on their website about how they will probably handle the new stores that don't have a rewards card. This is how they handle other stores that don't have a card. They have a special Upromise card that you get at the store and then enter on your SavingStar account to track purchases for that store. You don't have to be a Upromise member. Savingstar was develped by Upromise. Here is the info:

FYI - some of the offers on the left side of my offers page are not activating when I click Activate. I have contacted the company to ask them to look into it and hopefully they will have it fixed soon. Anyone else have any problems activating any offers?
