RALEIGH, N.C. — Lots of beer news and Lafayette Village in north Raleigh is getting several new spots to dine.
Salt and Lime Cabo Grill has opened off of Falls of Neuse Road in north Raleigh. They held their grand opening Thursday night. This bar and grill with a coastal cuisine influence is located in the former home of Amedeo's North. They are currently only open for dinner services.
A lot going on nearby at Lafayette Village. Five Points' Crafty Beer Shop is planning to open its second Triangle location there. Next to that, a taqueria is opening up. No word on when either will be open for business. Work on Driftwood Southern Kitchen is also coming along in the space formerly occupied by Antonio's.
More info on the new beer shop opening off of Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. North Street Beer Station is planning to have more than 700 types of bottled beer, 13 rotating taps and wine by the glass, according to the News and Observer. They will be specializing in local and national craft beer and hope to be open by March 1.
Keeping with the beer theme - we are keeping our eye on a new beer bar expected to open in Raleigh this summer. Storm Clouds Brewing, 126 Northwest St., is planning to open in July, according to their website.
Some news about a pop-up restaurant coming in April. The Lucky, a Tokyo noodle bar, will take over Cafe Helios on April 6 starting at 7 p.m. until the noodles run out.
The food truck Big Mike's BBQ has a new home. You can get their food now at ViewBar on Glenwood Avenue.
A new salad place is opening near Durham's Streets of Southpoint Mall. Construction is underway on a Doc Green's Gourmet Salads next to the Subway off of Renaissance Parkway. UPDATE: Apparently this place is closed but they still haven't removed the sign. Construction was going on inside, so we will have to keep checking to see what will eventually be there.
One closure to tell you about: Twitter user C. Brian Jones informed us that Knightdale Seafood and Barbecue has closed.
