I switched to automatic drafts when the USPS lost a check to my mortgage company. And I recently switched to e-bills when the USPS lost a bill. Our carrier delivers other people's stuff to our mailbox -- I don't mean my neighbors' mail, the WHOLE STREET is wrong (it's not like the spelling is similar). When I put it back in the box and mark "not at this address", he circles "OR CURRENT RESIDENT" and puts it back. Lately, he doesn't even bother putting the mail in the box at all. He just dumps it on the ground in the general vicinity of the box. Which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't rain. I try to avoid the USPS as much as possible.

I worked as an contract Computer Engineer for "postal"... 1. Heard at a farwell meeting of a senior contractor leaving for a better job... "I have worked here for 12 years, and 6 times a week, I go home, open my mailbox and I am amazed there is anything there".. 2. Serioulsy, a great number of people complain about USPS, but considering how many peices of mail they move in one day, it's amazing. If I remember right, it's over 550 a day, to over 100 million addresses. It has it's problems, but it really is an amazing organization... Created by Ben Franklin...
