New kids, teens grief groups forming at Wake Forest center
The Shore Grief Center provides grief support for ages 6 and up the Wake Forest area.
Posted — UpdatedThe Shore Grief Center in Wake Forest will be forming new grief groups in March and April for kids and teens.
The center, founded by Carolyn Zahnow, who lost her only child to suicide, meets in borrowed space at Wake Forest United Methodist Church. The 90-minute sessions run six to eight weeks. Trained facilitators, along with a mental health professional, guide the groups.
New groups are forming in March and April. They include the Cameron's Kids group, which begins a seven-week session starting March 7. And the Save the Teens group will start April 24 and meet for seven weeks.
