Posted August 28, 2013

There's a new Harris Teeter opening today in Wake Forest at Creedmoor Village!

Grand Opening Specials

Many people in North Raleigh, Durham and Creedmoor received flyers with $10 off a $50 purchase, according to fuzzmom below. If you did not get the flyer, but live near there, just ask if they have any extras at customer service at the new store.

Nylauren posted below that she received a special ad in the newspaper today for 10% off all week with yoru VIC card at that location!

There will be multiple events as part of the Grand Opening in the next few days including:

Aug. 29 - 31: e-VIC mobile, signing-up customers
Sept. 6-8: Harris Teeter Rancher Mobile Grill, free samples
Sept. 13-15: Harris Teeter Ice Cream Truck, free samples

The Creedmoor Village Harris Teeter will be open 24 hours, and the Harris Teeter pharmacy will be open seven days per week.

The store is located at:

Creedmoor Village Shopping Center
1432 Brodgen Woods Drive
Wake Forest, N.C. 27587

According to many who posted below, although this store has a Wake Forest address, it is actually between WF and Durham near Creedmoor. on Hwy 98 West of Wake Forest just past the Hwy 50 intersection with Hwy 98. According to bblackley, it is where the Goldston's Building Supply used to be.

If you head over to the new store today, let us know if they have any other Grand Opening specials and tell us what you think of the new store!

We went yesterday to use our 10% off deal that was loaded on to my VIC card plus the $10 off $50 coupon that we received for each of the next 4 weeks. I was also able to use a $5 off $25 coupon that I received from Food Lion. Saved $25 right there... plus manufacturer coupons of course. :) Nice store! Glad to have one so close.

I agree with you luvstoQ! I am one of thoes subdivisions and there are at lest 6 subdivisions that I live close to that will enjoy having a HT so close! I am very excited to have a HT within a few minutes drive!

  • luvstoQ Aug 28, 2013

snowl, there are lots of subdivisions within a 5-8 mi. radius of the new HT, so a very large population. They did their homework before building there. It was never meant to serve Wake Forest or Wakefield. There are 3 in that area already!

That location is not convenient for anyone who lives in Wakefield, or Wake Forest. It will be good for the local residents, but I don't think it will be very busy after the grand opening. Thanks, but no thanks.

hol2, our friends live on the north side of hwy 98 near the the new HT and their address is Raleigh. So, again, no specific reason to use WF (11 miles away) for the new HT.

nylauren, no, you do not need the add to get the 10%. I was there today and it came off automatically. Also, I received a flyer that gives me $20 for each new/transferred prescription until Feb 28, 2014.

Thanks for the directions! This is great news for us on the north/west side of Wake Forest!

  • nylauren Aug 28, 2013

When I was looking for a house I remember making sure the listings were in Wake County and not Franklin or Granville County as Wake Forest is in three counties. I always found that strange.

For those that went to the new store did you get the 10% off with your VIC card. The flyer didn't say the ad was necessary but I was wondering if I should take it with me anyway.

Locations on the north side of 98 are considered Wake Forest, even though this is less than 2 miles from the Durham County line. And it really isn't close to Creedmoor. It is just west of the Creedmoor Road/Rt. 50 and Rt. 98 intersection. We live near there and call it north North Raleigh!

And technically, the Wakefield store has a Raleigh address. Just can't explain the USPS, I guess! :)

Thanks to all for the feedback about the new store. They are referring to it as the new Wake Forest store on their Facebook page as well. Funny that it is not really in WF.
