Flying Froyo, a new frozen yogurt shop, has opened in Raleigh. And the owners, who are parents, have plans to offer activities for families.
Jeff and Nancy Gonder tell me that they plan to offer children's activities, birthday parties and visits from special characters. The store at 2930 Forestville Rd., Raleigh, near Rolesville and Wake Forest, is open now with an ever-changing line-up of flavors. The store includes a kids corner with a chalkboard to stay busy and a couple of airplane seats for a fun seating alternative.
And there will be regular craft nights where kids and parents can make something together. The next craft night is slated for Dec. 17.
According to the shop's newly launched website, the store is accepting all frozen yogurt store competitor coupons. They are happy to take Entertainment Book or City Pass coupons before they expire at the end of the year.
A grand opening celebration is planned for Dec. 13 and will include face painting, an appearance from the store's mascot and a visit from Olaf of Frozen fame. There also will be a grand prize drawing for a 32 inch TV.
