This morning, Disney World opened its first ride based on the 2013 hit movie, “Frozen,” and it has taken Epcot’s “World Showcase” by storm.
“Less than an hour after it opened to guests, the wait time was estimated at 300 minutes,” an article by Fox News reported. “A Cast Member told several guests the wait was shown at 300 minutes because it was the highest number they can display on the wait board.”
The Attractions Magazine YouTube channel uploaded a first-person perspective video of the new attraction, “Frozen Ever After.” The ride is located in the Norway Pavilion and is a boat ride like the Maelstrom boat ride it replaced.
"Guests are first transported to the 'Summer Snow Day' Celebration where Queen Elsa embraces her magical powers to create a beautiful 'winter-in-summer' day for the entire kingdom,” according to the Disney Parks blog. "Next, guests will pass Troll Valley on their way up the icy North Mountain to Queen Elsa's Ice Palace before their return trip to the Bay of Arendelle."
In addition to the opening of the ride, the Royal Sommerhus, a location specifically designed for guests to meet Anna and Elsa, opened this morning.
