RALEIGH, N.C. — Lots of live music and fun community events are going on this week. Here are our picks!

Monday

It's the French holiday of Bastille Day, so celebrate with one of our favorite French restaurants, Coquette. Their annual celebration includes a Waiter's Race through North Hills, free hors d'oeuvres and rosé tastings, and a special three-course prix fixe dinner menu.

Tuesday

Free Bird! Classic Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd plays Walnut Creek. Tickets start at $26.

Wednesday

Check out the best players in Minor League Baseball at the Triple-A All-Star Game at the DBAP. This is one of the most anticipated events of the baseball season!

Thursday

New Edition, currently on a 30-year anniversary tour featuring five original members, plays Red Hat Amphitheater. Bobby Brown recently left the tour citing health reasons. Tickets start at $29.50.

Friday

Marvel Universe Live! opens at PNC Arena. The family-friendly show features your favorite Marvel characters in a new story line, enhanced by high-tech special effects like 3D projections. Tickets start at $40, and the show runs through Sunday.
