Raleigh police arrested a teenager on Wednesday in connection to the death of a 13-year-old girl earlier in the week. According to the Raleigh Police Department, Mykia Daniel, an eighth-grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh Apartment. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at the appropriate time.

<strong><a href="https://www.wral.com/entertainment/out_and_about/venue/16831495/">Pincho Loco</a>, </strong>1918 Perry St., will hold its grand opening this weekend.

The shop serves flavors ice cream, milkshakes, popsicles, floats and smoothies. The menu also features a churro sundae. Float options include a beer float (for those 21 years and older).

The grand opening celebration runs Friday through Sunday. Special include buy one scoop, get one free.
