A quick post to highlight a new business opened by two local moms.

Rebecca Quinones and Rachel Gandy, both board certified pediatric clinical specialists in physical therapy, recently opened Babies on the Move.

Gandy tells me that the mission is to "educate parents of infants about infant motor development and empower them with the knowledge and skills to promote their baby's motor development through play."

The two, who also have their own kids, want to support parents of infants and celebrate their child's milestones with them.

The primary focus, Gandy tells me, are monthly parent-child infant development classes where parents bring their babies to learn activities to incorporate in their play time. They offer two different classes based on the age of the babies, one for newborns to 6 months and one for 7 months to first steps.

The classes are designed for the needs of the parents and the developmental stage of the babies attending. Babies on the Move also offers personalized movement consultations in home, free developmental screenings to those attending classes, and lectures/demonstrations to new mom groups.

I'll have more about Babies on the Move in the new year! Classes might make the perfect gift for new parents out there!
