New Buses Coming to Triangle

Posted March 17, 2008

— Public transportation in the Triangle got a new look and new management Monday.

The TTA is now Triangle Transit, the service that manages bus, shuttle and vanpool services in Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Durham, Garner, Hillsborough, RDU International Airport, Research Triangle Park and Raleigh.

The agency will place 23 new buses along routes in Durham, Orange and Wake counties by June 1.

So, this is why I have seen what used to be TTA buses driving up and down 147 with no identification on them lately.

Now, if hte new management will only instruct the drivers to stay the heck out of hte left lane unless they are actually passing a slow car, it will make everyuone's life easier that drives that road.

Is this article saying that CAT buses of Raleigh are now managed by what was the TTA? If so, I might just become religious and thank a higher power for a very necessary and welcome change. If you've ever ridden both bus systems, you'll know what I mean.
