When Netflix and The Walt Disney Company agreed in 2012 that the streaming service would become the exclusive digital distribution home for the Mouse, parents everywhere rejoiced.

That deal has finally come to pass for fans of Disney, Pixar and Marvel movies. Netflix regularly teases upcoming content on its blog and on Monday, that list of "coming soons" included the roll out of the Disney deal.

"From September onwards, Netflix will become the exclusive US pay TV home of the latest films from Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm and Pixar," wrote Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.

According to the terms of the deal published in 2012, Netflix get the movies after they've debuted in theaters and are available for purchase or rental.

Netflix has a separate agreement with Disney to carry several of the studio's animated classics
