There's a flurry of new programs here in the Triangle designed for women who paused their career to raise a family and are now looking to get back to work.

I wrote about last year's Back to Business Conference, which will return this year, and reacHIRE, another program for women who want to reenter the workforce. Now comes Inspiring Capital, which works specifically in the social sector in consulting and training.

"We offer a re-entry program for women who have taken a career break to raise their families, taking their previous experience and repackaging it for work in the social sector, including non-profits, foundations, social enterprises and corporate social responsibility," Janet Hammond, a Triangle mom who brought the NYC-based program here, tells me. "The Triangle will be our first geographic expansion and we have a cohort starting in September."

I'll have more from Hammond about the program going forward, but the group will have a free online information session starting at 9:30 a.m., Thursday. The event's website has more information, including details about how you can get involved. The program in Raleigh is scheduled for Sept. 8, Sept. 12, Sept. 15 and Sept. 19. Tuition is $1,750. For those who enroll before Thursday, there's a discount of $250 off.
