NE Humane Society to offer discounted dogs, cats, kittens to free space at shelter

— The Nebraska Humane Society says it wants to make space at the shelter if it needs to take in any pets from hurricane ravaged areas.

From Wednesday through Friday, anyone adopting dogs aged 1 year and older will receive $50 off adoption fees.

Cats 1 year and older will be free, and kittens aged 6-months to 11-months will be $25.

OMAHA, Neb. (FOX42KPTM) - The Nebraska Humane Society says it wants to make space at the shelter if it needs to take in any pets from hurricane ravaged areas.

From Wednesday through Friday, anyone adopting dogs aged 1 year and older will receive $50 off adoption fees.

"We hope this will help get deserving animals into great homes and free up space for those who need our services!" the humane society said.

Adoptions will open at noon, and the NHS will take adoption applications until 5:30 p.m. in anticipation of long lines.
