NC Wanted: Moore County man accused of raping young girls remains missing
Police say James Marvin Johnson, of Moore County, launched a sixth-month reign of terror by preying on young girls in the summer of 1998.
Posted — UpdatedJohnson repeatedly raped a 12-year-old girl, who became pregnant, authorities said.
DNA proved Johnson was the father, but before he could be arrested, Johnson started a youth group called, “Clean Teens.”
The group’s objective was to keep children out of trouble through camping. However, investigators said it only gave Johnson access to more young girls.
Johnson was arrested twice, but his family bailed him out both times. Officials said Johnson left town and hasn’t been seen since.
WRAL News interviewed Donald Johnson in 2007. He put up his house as collateral on Johnson's bond. The house would have been lost it if the court had not given him a break.
Betrayed by his brother, Johnson agrees with law enforcement that his brother needs to be caught.
